I was born in Limerick originally, however was raised in Dublin and Thomastown, Co Kilkenny. Once I finished school in 1997, I had no clue what I wanted to do so I moved to England in 1999, I remained there for 16 years, returning back home two years ago in 2015.
During my time in England I never found the opportunities for volunteering that I have been able to find here, however did get excellent work experience throughout my time there and worked for Blockbuster Video for 7 years, working my way up to Manager, until the company went into decline, however I look back on my time there with such fondness and the experience was something I will never forget.
I have had an enormous amount of fun since returning and getting involved in different elements. I have managed to get involved with events such as The Cat Laughs and Subtitle festival, and now my regular weekly slot at Kilkenny Community Radio, on the Artscope show which Craig and Sam which I absolutely love.
I work full time and am also doing two courses in the week until May 2017, and am also due to start a degree in September 2017, so I am busy and that’s exactly how I like it! I go to gigs, plays, open mic nights and as many events as my schedule will allow and I love it all. Kilkenny is definitely my home and for now I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
